Supporting optimum health and wellbeing

In 2018, BMS launched ‘thrive’, a new integrated health and wellbeing programme to meet the needs of its expanding and diverse global workforce.

The programme was developed to support the positive working culture and deliver a range of benefits to help employees make healthy choices for their optimum wellbeing.

The programme was shortlisted for 'Most effective relaunch' in Reward Gateway’s 2018 Staff Engagement Excellence Awards and as a Finalist for ‘Best health and wellbeing initiative’ in the CIPD People Management Awards 2019.

It continues to be hugely popular and more recently has been supporting BMS employees during the COVID-19 pandemic through providing access to a range of resources. This includes ‘Spill’, an app that offers message-based support and counselling on demand, a host of remote working webinars, as well as various virtual resources and events including; work station assessments, yoga, pilates, social events and access to virtual GP services.

The programme will also be supporting employees returning to the workplace with further wellbeing lunch & learns, continued flexible working, as well as complementary flu jabs and health assessments to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 during the winter.
