BMS Re, the rapidly-expanding specialty reinsurance arm of global broker BMS Group, today announces the appointment of Russell McGuire as Head of Origination. Sitting on the Executive Committee and based in New York, he will report to BMS Re CEO, Pete Chandler.
As Head of Origination, McGuire brings nearly three decades of industry experience to BMS Re and will lead a team dedicated to identifying and establishing new client relationships, building on the recent growth of the reinsurance division, both in the US and globally.
McGuire joins BMS Re following an 18+ year career at Swiss Re. During that time, he rose to the position of Managing Director and Client Executive in Swiss Re’s Globals Business Practice, wherein his responsibilities included managing relationships with some of the company’s largest client partners and driving numerous talent management initiatives.
