Newsroom

BMS Group Limited (“BMS”), the independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, today announces that Kevin Gordon has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Treaty Reinsurance, effective immediately. Gordon will join BMS’s Chicago office, reporting to Brad Nebel, Branch Manager.

This appointment is part of BMS’s continued expansion in the US treaty reinsurance market. Gordon will focus on developing and serving the regional client base and contributing to the development of BMS’s treaty reinsurance strategy.

Before joining BMS, Gordon was most recently a Senior Vice President at Willis Re since 2018. He has led a number of key reinsurance accounts across multiple lines of business, including property catastrophe, fidelity, and professional liability. Gordon also spent over 17 years at Aon Benfield, specialising in treaty reinsurance placements.

Pete Chandler, President and CEO of BMS’s US reinsurance arm, said: “Our US operation is growing in scale across several select specialty lines and we are determined to play a major part in developing client-focused, targeted solutions in our chosen growth segments. As we expect significant opportunities in the evolving US treaty reinsurance market, we have been making a number of senior hires in different offices to support our growth strategy in the last year.

Kevin’s expertise in treaty reinsurance placements will be a great addition to our team. I look forward to working closely with him and all regional offices in expanding BMS’s reinsurance platform.”
