BMS Re continues build out of US fac team with trio of senior hires

BMS Re, the independent reinsurance broker, today announces several senior appointments to its facultative practice, effective immediately. Based in Chicago, Jeremy Gallico and Brian Kohout will assume the roles of vice president, property fac and vice president casualty fac respectively. In addition, Erin Brady joins BMS Re’s New York office as vice president, casualty fac. All three report to Rich Macrane, executive vice president, head of facultative at BMS Re.

Gallico has more than 11 years’ experience in the Chicago market and joins BMS Re from his most recent position as senior underwriter, direct property facultative at XL Catlin. Prior to this, he held the role of assistant vice president / senior underwriter, direct property facultative at Gen Re.

Kohout is a highly knowledgeable industry professional with extensive underwriting experience. His previous roles include executive specialty casualty underwriter at AmTrust E&S Insurance Services, senior primary casualty and construction underwriter at Allied World Insurance and vice president and general liability underwriter at PS & Associates.

Brady began her career in insurance in 2017 as a reinsurance broker, casualty global fac at Willis Towers Watson. She was subsequently promoted in 2019 to assistant vice president, casualty global fac, where she developed strong relationships with clients and reinsurance partners.
