BMS, the independent insurance and reinsurance broker, announces the appointment of Louisa Erwin as Group Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), effective 1 April. Based in London, Erwin will report to Roanne Gibbs, Global Human Resources Director at BMS.
Erwin has extensive experience in leading DEI initiatives, having been responsible for developing and implementing regional DEI strategies across 24 countries. She joins BMS from her most recent position as head of DEI EMEA at Chubb European Group, where she also founded the company’s first DEI Council in 2016. In her previous role, Erwin was responsible for designing and delivering a regional DEI strategy in close partnership with executive leadership as well as regional and global human resources teams.
Gibbs said: “Progress towards ensuring BMS is a truly equitable working environment continues to develop at pace, but there is always more that we can do as an organisation. Louisa is an extraordinarily driven diversity, equity and inclusion executive. She has a real passion for working within this arena and will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our DEI efforts. We are delighted to welcome her on board.”
