BMS, the independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, today announces the appointment of Bruce Murdock as Managing Director at BMS Capital Advisory, effective immediately. Murdock will report to Romulo Braga, CEO at BMS Capital Advisory.
Murdock has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He joins BMS from Lockton Capital Markets, where he was most recently Managing Director and Head of InsurTech. Murdock also held a number of senior positions at Sheumack & Co., IRC Securities and Macquarie Capital (USA), and worked as a Managing Director at Fox-Pitt Kelton Inc. Group (now Swiss Re Group), where he led various high-profile portfolios for banks, insurers, hedge fund reinsurers and mortgage finance companies. Murdock started his career at XL Group in 1990 as a US Underwriter.
