Accidental Death & Disablement
Providing a lump sum benefit in the event of Accidental Death or Disablement including loss of limbs, sight, speech or hearing or loss of use of limbs. Other ancillary benefits, such as Rehabilitation Benefit, Occupational Training, Child Care Benefit, Disability Fitness Equipment Benefit can be added to provide a comprehensive package.
AD&D is routinely provided as a component of a group insurance benefit plan (i.e. basic or voluntary AD&D); business travel accident; 24-Hour AD&D; coverage for unusual activities; student accident; high limit coverage; unscheduled or charter 'aircraft and helicopter' exposure / pilot coverage as well as war risk & terrorism.
Available for groups or individuals; annual or short-term policies provided.
Comprehensive Accident Insurance
For volunteer type groups or association group members providing accidental death, medical, dental and disability benefits for non-occupational activities. This is an effective liability diffuser for institutions or organizations relying on the efforts and contributions of members and volunteers in achieving their goals.
Annual, seasonal or short-term / special events coverage is available, (i.e. church groups,
strata property owners, clubs, non-profit societies, etc.).
Temporary Total Disability Income
Accident only coverage or accident and sickness disability income coverage for any occupation on an "own occupation" basis, primarily for high income earners, for periods up to 5 years. An alternative for those individuals who do not qualify for conventional disability coverage. Available for individuals and groups.
Permanent Total Disability or Career Loss
A lump sum benefit is payable for accident only or accident and sickness coverage up to $2.5 Million per person and up to $5 Million in the event of injury resulting in Quadriplegia, Paraplegia or Hemiplegia.
Annual or short-term coverage available, typically written on an individual basis, however, coverage may be available for groups in unique situations.
Paralysis Only
In the event of an accident causing an injury which results in Quadriplegia, Paraplegia or Hemiplegia. A lump sum benefit of up to $5 Million is payable to provide "living benefits".
Excess Hospital / Medical Insurance
For individuals or groups requiring emergency worldwide travel medical coverage or coverage for a specific destination. This coverage is excess of benefits provided by the insured's government health insurance plan. Adequate medical coverage is essential when traveling away from home, whether in Canada or out of the country. Our programs provide superior hospital / medical coverage combined with a variety of ancillary benefits including assistance services. This product is commonly used to provide for the travel medical portion of a group extended health benefit plan provided to an employee as part of their group benefits, or, even as a stand alone product for individuals who will be traveling for extended periods of time. Annual or short-term coverage available.
Expatriate Hospital / Medical Insurance
Basic emergency hospital / medical coverage for Canadian citizens or Canadian companies requiring coverage for individuals not eligible for an extension of their government health insurance plan, who will be relocating outside Canada to live, work or attend school. The significant difference is that our expatriate product provides for follow-up treatment after the initial emergency. This coverage is provided on a short-term or annual basis.
Inpatriate Hospital / Medical Insurance
Basic emergency hospital / medical coverage for individuals coming to Canada on a visa to work, visit or attend school, who do not qualify for government health insurance plan coverage. Available to individuals and Canadian organizations or companies.
Travel Medical Programs
Designed especially for independent insurance brokers to market as a program providing a variety of superior multi-trip and single-trip Emergency Travel Medical Insurance plans at competitive rates.

Extended Health Benefits (In-Canada) Stop-Loss
For large employers, union groups or group benefits insurance brokers. Extended health benefits stop-loss provides benefit reimbursement for extended health benefits in excess of a pre-determined self-insured limit. This is becoming a popular alternative to fully insured extended health plans as a means of mitigating the ever-increasing cost of providing extended health benefits coverage for employees or plan members. The employer or union self insures extended health benefits up to a pre-determined limit per insured employee or insured person, and the balance up to $1,000,000 is insured through BMS Specialty Risks.
War Risk and Terrorism Coverage
War Risk and Terrorism coverage can be endorsed onto many of our existing products for an additional premium or provided as a stand alone policy. Lloyd's specializes in this area and coverage can be obtained for those clients traveling to most hot spots throughout the world.
