BMS Specialty Risk - Overview
Stability in a Rapidly Changing World
BMS Specialty Risk specialise in the placement of all forms of Delegated Authority, which include but are not limited to Lloyd’s Binding Authorities, Programmes and Lineslips. Our experience across a broad range of classes and territories places us at the forefront of the Lloyd’s broking community handling similar business.
Product design is driven by market need and our role is to ensure our clients, be they Managing General Underwriters, Program Administrators or Lloyd’s Coverholders, are provided with the appropriate tools to help expand their business.
A key ingredient to our success is our ability to develop long-term and stable partnerships for our clients. Our clients appreciate the responsibility that comes with any form of Delegated Authority and underwriters know this is inherent in the quality of business we request they put their capital at risk to support.
The ability to bind “in-house” ensures our clients can administer their business in an efficient and effective manner. Our Master Contracts enable us to facilitate a new Delegated Authority contract swiftly. The same facilities also give us in-house authority, further enhancing our ability to provide a seamless service to our clients.
Complementary to our Delegated Authority portfolio, we have a vibrant and expansive book of open-market business. Such placements meet the needs of clients, who often require very large limits on individual risks and wish to ensure flexibility in cover, aligned with competitive pricing.
As part of the BMS Group, when clients require skills outside our main area of expertise, we can draw upon the relevant specialist business unit within the Group to deliver the necessary solution. The BMS Group also provides us with the strength and security of a large, independent, employee-owned company, whilst still being able to provide a highly personalised service that is a mark of the BMS Specialty Risk team.
